ACTIVITY 1: CREATION AND NETWORKING OF MULTI-PURPOSE CULTURAL CENTRES (CCPs) AND CREATION OF REGIONAL INTEGRATED SERVICES FOR CONTEMPORARY ART
I ART MADONIE envisages the adaptation, maintenance and re-functionalization of nine existing buildings located in the suburbs of participating Municipalities through bio-architecture techniques, for the construction and networking of 18 CCPs: new centres offering cultural, educational and didactic services aimed at urban requalification and regeneration.
The types of interventions for each CCP are divided into two macro-categories based on the physical characteristics of the buildings and on the different level of specialization of municipalities belonging to the network, i.e. Basic intervention and Plus intervention:
• Basic intervention, to be implemented in all 18 municipalities: it will include the creation of Expanded Cinemas (multimedia immersive spaces);
• Plus intervention, to be implemented in 3 municipalities (Bompietro, Geraci Siculo and Gratteri): it will include a wider range of equipment.
Each CCP will also offer the following services:
- Multimedia systems
Each CCP will be provided with multimedia systems offering contents inspired by history, landscape and most authentic traditions of each involved territory.
- Orientation and exhibition spaces
These spaces will include multimedia areas equipped for educational and training activities and will be used as exhibition centres for artistic and cultural activities, too.
- InformArt
Each CCP will also offer information services on events, territorial itineraries and places of interest of the Madonie district. Furthermore, CCPs will be arranged as spaces to involve local communities, hosting meetings, scheduling, participatory planning, events, etc..
